Taming the Lion: 100 Secret Strategies for Investing (Richard Farleigh)

This book contains investing tips revealed by Farleigh, an ex-trader who started his career in Australia. He has also been featured on BBC.

Although the title states 100 secrets, it is more about explanations of how Farleigh trades rather than discrete tips. The book leans more towards a fundamentalist style of trading which is Farleigh's strength. There is also a section on VC (Venture Capital) investing.

The book is very easy to read, although I cannot figure out the title; very little animal imagery is used and the book is really more about trading than investing. Readers expecting a step-by-step will be disappointed. Farleigh is very much a macro and big-picture trader and this is apparent in the way he writes and advice he shares. Nonetheless, the content is good although some concepts may have already appeared in other trading books. The VC section is something I don't see elsewhere and may be useful to some readers.

The book is recommended based on the fact that it is a very different flavour from many other guidebooks on trading.

I suspect I may gain more from a second reading of this book in future.
